About Methuen Federal Credit Union

The Methuen Federal Credit Union was chartered under federal law. Federally chartered credit unions are regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an independent agency of the U.S. Government. NCUA’s three board members are nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate. At Methuen Federal Credit Union, we strive to deliver the best service possible to our most important asset – our members.

The board has the overall responsibility for the credit union’s direction, safety and soundness and legal compliance. To meet these responsibilities, the board must establish sound policies, retain qualified management and establish acceptable risk exposure levels.

Join Methuen Federal Credit Union

In order to open a membership and become a “shareholder”, you must deposit $25.00 (one share). You may then make deposits in a manner convenient to you; payroll deduction, direct deposit, by mail or at the office. Please call or email us, and we’ll send you the Membership Application Form.

Once a Member, Always a Member

Once you have joined the Credit Union, your membership is good for life! Even if you leave your current position which enabled you to join, you do not need to close your account. And remember – your family members are also welcome to join the credit union!
